  1. Not rake everything, dummies. CA has enough criminals to take care of highways. PG&E also, clearly, needs to maintain it's AoR's. Camp sites are supposed to be maintained by park services. Coordinated and controlled burns also need to happen. And, yes, people call it GLOBAL warming, not California warming.

  2. Cut a clearing 50 yards or so around each house. Now put up solar panels in the added light areas. And, would GOATS help??

  3. Water mismanagement leads to drought, forrest mismanagement leads to over growth of dry shubbery, power mismanagement leads to lines in dry trees…its the climates fault.
Now they point fingers at each other Sound familiar?

Now Newsome wants the state to run the largest power provider. They cant even fix the roads….these dumb libs have ruined this state, and are pushing the middle class right out.
Wait I have an Idea. Lets let the state burn, so we can pay for healthcare for illegal immigrants….

  4. History will not remember "president" Trump kindly at all – he will be a cautionary tale for future generations about how hate, bigotry and divisiveness can and will tear a nation apart.

  5. CA is starting the fires on purpose. The state is going broke, & federal funding has been pulled due to Sanctuary State status. The only way CA can get federal funding is to declare a State of Emergency. THESE [PEOPLE] ARE SICK!!!
Go Mr. President! TRUMP PENCE 2020!!! WWG1WGA!!!

  6. I live in butte county. we have had 2 fires withing 1ft of our home (we saved it with buckets from our pool). what we need is the airforce. we need to allow our reserve aircraft to be loaded up with water and fire retardant. with better response times. I had to fight the fire for 30 minutes before the fire chief arrived. the chief said an engine will be here in minutes. that engine never came. it was me and my neighbor that saved our home. 1 hour later fire crews arrived (after we had saved our home ) we needed air support. (thanks for the cough from smoke inhalation, still have it)

  7. It’s just common sense, 100 years ago and before, natives and settlers cleaned the forest to build fires, so the forests got help , then we used to do controlled burns, logging also helps, then replant, but you fooking liberals ,cried about all of it.
So reap what you sow dumbasses, I wouldn’t give California a penny til they learn forest management, which they say or seem so educated on, NOT
It’s a tinder box cause you won’t clean anything up and let old growth just pile up
Amazing how soooooo many are so stupid
And this doesn’t have anything to do with Trump, this has been an ongoing problem for YEARS
So get off your hate problem and clean your state up and get QUALIFIED leaders or people with some brains in there

  8. They're all to busy trying to impeach him to care about their own state. They've been trying from every possible angle since day one. Their state is actually burning down and they still won't focus, they still just want to talk about impeaching Trump instead of focusing on the fires. I'm not a Trump supporter but Cali politicians really need to get their priorities straight so the rest of the US doesn't have to keep throwing money into an actual fire.

  9. California pays the most federal taxes of any state and many southern states combined and it's economy is the fifth biggest in the entire world. If California wanted, it could secede and not give any federal taxes and keep it to help their state.

  10. So it seems most of you idiots honest think that "Raking the forest" means to get out garden rakes and to rake the forest with them.
Good lord, I feel sad for man kind, I really do.

  11. ITs BECAUSE THEY DON'T SWEEP THEIR FLOORS, GOTTA SWEEP YOUR FLOORS LIKE ALL THE OTHER STATES DO! …DONT WE? I THINK MY STATE HAS FOREST SWEEPERS. They work hard that's why you never hear about them. I think.

  12. Governor blaming forest fire on Global Warming in November. Wasn't they blaming this on equipment a few days ago. LOL!!!!!!!

  13. First, prayers for those harmed (and for those who tell us to stop praying – we're not gonna stop, btw). Second, Renter's Insurance or Homeowner's Insurance would pay for homes lost to the fires. Third, forest floor management is very doable; no, you don't have "rake" the entire state – only the area surrounding populated places, commonly traveled (hiking, camping) areas, and make burn lines where you can. It might not stop every single fire out there, but it would definitely make things much easier to deal with when the problems do arise. Just my opinion.

  14. I couldn’t agree more let my state burn the liberal empire down so we americans can rebuild it in its true form #latinosfortrump

  15. Ok then…so then rake the "floors" . then what? rake it to where moron ? oh i guess you`d bag it and bring it all to the dump . would you just pile it and leave it to blow into a fire to fuel it ? would you burn it ? wonder how much expense it would incur lol . judging from this if anything good has come out of this administration , it has not come from Trump .

  16. Impeachment offense, all i have to say, let me see how many more republicans going to say something different. The worst president in U.S. history.

  17. Nothing to do with global warming need to do controlled Back burns remove understory fuel. Raking is not suitable also

  18. Unemployment, homelessness, and funding problems but no one notices all the land clearance that could be done. Which would in turn open up development which would then pay taxes. Because I love seeing all the neatly landscaped area in the town, and then look outside the town and see everything covered in brush or the pipe siphoning off water from inland areas wondering why everything is so flammable.

  19. Also California imported vast amounts of Aussie gum trees which have seeded everywhere the oil in these trees don’t assist. Burning the Bush is the only answer

  20. No don’t don’t pull the funding don’t do that reroute the funding to go only to the homeless problem that they have

  21. ofcourse he's going to pull the funding,.. he already wasted more than 100 million on his personal golf trips,. and he ain't done yet!!!

  22. If the donald pulls the fire aid for California there will not be a republican member of congress supporting him and he in effect will impeach himself. One would think the donald has learned something in his three years in office but the old saying the dumb only get dumper seems to accurately describe the donald.

  23. Like everything else. Constant controversy and no real solution that is attainable. Just add it to the list of worldwide problems we have. I'm not saying ..not do so anything at all. All I'm saying is what we're going thru… is WAY BEYOND OUR CONTROL TO EVEN GRAB HOLD OF AND CONTROL. No government of any kind can seem to even touch the surface of what this world is quickly drowning in . A-Z !!!! our problems are too big.
All the back and forth suggestions and meanwhile in the background behind our comments, WHO IS LISTENING AND IF ANYONE IS LISTENING….might as well tell them to just stay put for the trillion other problems no one can seem to agree on how to manage too. Constate debates and finger pointing is MOSTLY WHAT GOES ON. The worlds problems are just too much for any of us HUMANS TO Fix. We were told this is how things would go down. Don't act shocked!!

  24. California needs to be reconstructed into multiple states to ensure resources … it's too big and isn't being managed properly.

  25. Sounds like it's time to move. NOT to Texas. We've taken in enough Californians and Louisianians to last a life time. Go to New York or Florida.

  26. It's the same crap every year. Red states experience natural disaster, the entire country bands together to help. Blue states experience natural disaster, red states look the other way. Really goes to show you where peoples' values are.

  27. I believe in Finland, traditional owners own forest areas and are paid by the government to look after the forest, oh no can’t be done in USA, it is a type of socialism.

  28. I've never heard any Muslims from the USA say they were happy about 9/11, but I've seen a lot of Trump suppers say they are happy about these fires in Cali. Just check out any clip about it on Fox News.

  29. With a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of $3.0 trillion (2018), as a sovereign nation California would rank as the world's fifth largest economy, ahead of India and just behind Germany.

  30. Climate change is bs. Climate change always happened and always will, because the only thing that's constant is change it's self.
I bet that state did not want to fix those power lines so they can ask for more cash.

  31. He didn’t threaten to pull funding. Why doesn’t Gavin use the billion dollars on fire prevention instead of medical for illegals?

  32. he does have a point…… there are such things as "fire breaks" and clearing near residential areas… spin it however, its still a good idea

  33. California should move to Arizona workout Moreland we need the jobs to build houses get those homeless people out of poverty

  34. I'm in California. They fined us for watering the lawn, had to do it on only 2 days a week. Neighbors would be mad at anyone with a green lawn. Then they didn't let us clear dead trees, because they want the animals to still live in them. Rationed water even for farmers. Then when we had record rainfalls, they had to throw away trillions of gallons because the dams were so old they would burst if they held water like they used to. Oroville, Folsom, Kern County, all have dams falling apart. Tell me this is not mismanagement.

  35. Governor bids the money just like he did for the rail system. Perhaps the governor should look up the electric company, they started this mess and apparently they don’t believe in climate change either

  36. BUT WE HAVE MONEY FOR BANK BAILOUTS, CORPORATIONS SUBSIDIES ENDLESS WARS; RICH TAX CUTS…………………..

  37. The forest service has said %80 of all fires are caused by humans..! use link–>https://www.pe.com/2017/03/05/more-than-80-percent-of-all-wildfires-caused-by-humans-new-study-says/

  38. Hey, you people don't sound very smart. Raking the forest is a thing. Look it up. Doesn't matter how or where the fire starts, it spreads because the dry vegetation.

  39. It is try. California has many forest of education laws that prevents normal yearly ground clearing. It will not stop all fires, but would certainly help. They didn't interview 1 fireman, notice?

  40. For state parks in the state of Florida, firefighters go into unkempt/overgrown foliage and "rake" (or "control burn") dead leaves and non native vines to protect from possible forest fires.

  41. California should stop subsidizing red states if he goes through with it. California in general should just stop paying federal taxes.

  42. He's at it again, trying to deflect attention away from his problems. He is too stupid to know that every year since I can remember the Santana winds blow in So. Calif. This is a big state and if the orange fat one would like to lose some weight I can supply him with a rake and he can go at it. We have global warming whether he wants to admit it or not, the Glaciers are melting, did California do that? This planet we live in is in big trouble, we never ever needed an air conditioner but in the last five years we have had temperatures over 105 and that is unheard of where I live. For the last 4 days we are up in the 90's and we should not be. We do have to have a defensible area around our homes, 100 feet. Our rural fire department will come round and check out your property and advise you. Thank God for all those fire fighters who came from every state to help out here. Irks me no end when folks who do not live in this state have to throw their two cents in.

  43. Hey, knucklehead, that's not YOUR money… that's OUR money… the same money that blue states kick in to help hurricane victims in red states. The next time there's a devastating flood in a red state, should Governor Newsom complain that the residents don't deserve help because they didn't put out enough buckets?
